Explore Communities

Explore Communities is the part of Actualog used to browse shared product-domain information by industry or professional field. A community brings together relevant categories, facets, public products, catalogs, companies, and experts.

Communities are not company workspaces. Joining a community changes your personal discovery and navigation context; it does not grant access to a company's private data or management pages.

What appears in the Sidebar

Under Explore Communities, the Sidebar shows only communities that the signed-in user has joined. It does not list every community in Actualog.

Select a joined community to expand these links:

  • the community summary;
  • categories;
  • companies;
  • catalogs;
  • products;
  • experts.

If a community is missing, open Choose community, find it, and select Join. The Sidebar is updated after the membership change.

What a community changes

The selected community supplies a domain scope for discovery. It helps Actualog show taxonomy branches, facet filters, public content, organizations, and specialists that belong to that field.

Community membership does not:

  • add you to a company;
  • assign company permissions;
  • make private products or catalogs visible;
  • let you edit governed category data unless your application role allows it.

Typical workflow

  1. Open Choose community.
  2. Search for a relevant industry or domain.
  3. Use View to inspect the community before joining it.
  4. Select Join.
  5. Expand the new community under Explore Communities in the Sidebar.
  6. Open its summary or one of the entity lists.
  7. Use community facets to narrow the visible records where a facet panel is available.

You may join several communities and leave one later. Leaving removes it from your personal community navigation; it does not delete shared community content or company data.
